This Privacy Policy explains what information Recruit Ally collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Recruit Ally, you agree to the practices described here.

Who We Are

Recruit Ally is a recruiting tool for student athletes in the United States and Canada. Our website is www.recruit-ally.com. If you have any questions, you can reach us at eric@recruit-allyplayers.com.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

Account & profile information you provide when you sign up — such as your name, email address, jersey number, position, graduation year, club and high school teams, sport, and any links or photos you add (for example, your highlight video links or recruiting profile).
Emails you create and send through Recruit Ally to college coaches, including the subject line, message text, and which coaches you send to.
Activity and tracking data related to the emails you send — for example, whether and when an email was opened, and whether a highlight video link was clicked. This is explained in more detail in the "Email Tracking" section below.
Payment information — handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full credit card number (see "Payments" below).
Google account access — if you sign in with Google, we receive access to send emails on your behalf through your Gmail account.
Basic usage data — general information about how the app is used, to help us fix problems and improve the service.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Run and maintain your account
Build your email subject line and signature from your profile
Send recruiting emails to college coaches on your behalf
Show you which coaches opened your emails and watched your videos
Process your subscription and payments
Provide support and improve the service

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not use your Google user data to train any AI or machine learning models.

Email Tracking

When you send emails through Recruit Ally, we include a small invisible tracking pixel and use tracked links so we can show you activity such as when an email appears to have been opened and when a highlight video link was clicked. This is how the app shows you which coaches may be interested.

Please note that email open tracking is not perfectly accurate. Some email providers automatically load images, which can register as an "open" even if a person did not actually read the email. We do our best to distinguish real activity from automatic activity, but the numbers shown in your dashboard are estimates, not guarantees.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or share your Google account data with third parties. We use the following trusted services solely to operate the app:

Google Gmail API — to send recruiting emails on your behalf
Resend — as a backup email delivery service
Supabase — to securely store your account data
Stripe — to process payments (they never see your Google data)

We do not transfer or disclose your Google user data to any other third parties for purposes other than operating the app. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our users or others.

How We Protect Your Data

We take the following steps to keep your data safe:

All data is transmitted using secure, encrypted HTTPS connections
Your Google access tokens are stored securely in our database and never exposed publicly
We only request the minimum Google permissions needed to send emails on your behalf
You can revoke our access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions

No method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Payments

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy can be found at stripe.com/privacy.

Email Content

When you use Recruit Ally to email coaches, those emails are sent on your behalf, using your Gmail account when you sign in with Google. You are responsible for the content of the emails you send.

Children & Minors

Recruit Ally is intended for student athletes who are at least 13 years old. It is not intended for, and may not be used by, children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Many of our users are minors (under 18). If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service and agree to them on your behalf. By creating an account for a player under 18, the parent or guardian consents to the collection and use of that player's information as described here.

Your Data Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your account and data at any time by emailing us at eric@recruit-allyplayers.com. We will remove your information within 30 days of your request, except where we are required to keep certain records (for example, for tax or legal reasons). Depending on where you live (including Canada and certain U.S. states), you may have additional rights regarding your personal information; contact us and we will help.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes to how we use your Google user data, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our app. Your continued use of Recruit Ally after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
